About the NBG
The NBG is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation managed by a volunteer board. The board members are all local landholders, with a minimum of two representatives from each local government area.

The NBG is funded through the Declared Pest Rate (DPR). The DPR is paid by all landholders or lessees in the NBG region that occupy equal to, or more than, 100 hectares.

The total rate revenue from the DPR is matched, dollar for dollar, by the WA State Government.

The funds raised from the DPR, and the matched funds, may only be spent in the NBG region and only on the control of pests declared under the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act 2007 (BAM Act; WAOL organism list).
